To encounter the famous Whales take the Whale Coast Route for a stunning hour and a half drive via Gordon’s Bay, Pringle and Betty’s Bay to Hermanus. In Hermanus you can climb onto a boat and go for whale watching and if lucky dolphins, while after that you can enjoy an ice cold beer on one of the many terraces overlooking the sky blue sea.
On your way back you can take the route through Overberg region with Grabouw, Elgin, Hemel and Aarde Valley and once you go over the St Lowry’s Pass you will have a stunning view over Strand and Somerset West area and you are only 30 minutes away from WedgeView.
Also Kalk Bay (culture and galleries), Simonstown (penguins), Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope are very famous tourist attractions and are all within 1 – 1 hour and 15 minutes’ drive. On this trip you will drive on one of the most beautiful routes in the Cape.
